The Sigmund Freud Center for Study and Research in Psychoanalysis

As a university based research center, the Freud Center sees its primary mission as the promotion of psychoanalytic study and research.

· We offer scholarships to students who research theoretical and applied psychoanalysis. An impressive number of doctoral dissertations and master theses have been done with its support and under its auspices, occasionally on theme that touch upon other areas, such as the arts, literature and culture. Many of this research papers were eventually published as books and articles in the professional literature.

· We organize study days, meetings and international conferences, some initiated by the center and others with cooperation with other organizations in Israel such as the Israel psychoanalytic Society, the Jerusalem center for ethics in Mishkenot Sha-Ananim, school for social work and others.

· We enable researchers from Israel and other countries to become research fellows of the center and support their research.

· It serves as a base and host to psychoanalysts from all over the world who come to give lectures, seminars, consultations and courses to university students and the Israeli psychoanalytic community.
