The D.B. Doran Annual Lecture, which began in 2008, brings to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem leading international scholars focused on population change, natural and human resources, poverty, and economic development. The aim of this annual lecture is to bring new research perspectives from a broad range of disciplines to the academic community in Israel, to help stimulate scholars and students in Israel to engage more actively in these areas of research, and to bring international attention to the Hebrew University as a center of learning on these topics.
The Doran Annual Lecture is made possible by a generous donation by the late D.B Doran.
